Bavarian Green Beans and Orzo
This simple side dish is reminiscent of well-loved Bavarian green beans and spätzle. Hot Del Monte® Blue Lake® Cut Green Beans are tossed with a buttery mixture of orzo and garlic & herb soft cheese.
Yield: 12 servings

Ingredient | Measure |
---|---|
Orzo, freshly cooked, warm | 1 3/4 cup |
Butter, room temperature | 1/2 cup |
Garlic & Herb Soft Cheese, warmed | 1/4 cup |
Del Monte® Blue Lake® Cut Green Beans | 6 cups |
TIP
If your operation doesn’t stock a garlic & herb cheese, make your own by hydrating Italian herbs and roasted garlic seasoning in lemon juice and whisk into warmed cream cheese. A little freshly grated parmesan or asiago cheese makes a nice addition.
