Smoky Apricot Fire Roasted Tomato Sauce

The combination of sweet apricots, tangy fire roasted tomatoes and smoky paprika creates a complex and balanced flavor profile. 

Yield 3 1/2 cup

Ingredient Measure
Del Monte® Apricot Smoked Paprika Sauce 1 cup
Fire Roasted chopped tomatoes, drained 1 cup
Parmesan, freshly grated 6 Tbsp
Basil 2 tsp
Oregano 1 tsp

Applications:

Use as a unique hot sandwich topping - meatball subs, chicken parmesan, steak sandwiches.

Use as a pizza sauce.

Great for dipping with Italian appetizers, breadsticks, mozzarella sticks.

Replace your pasta sauce.  

Directions:

  1. Combine and whisk well until blended thoroughly.
  2. Heat to a simmer and hold at 140 degrees F.
